Wood fiber is a mechanical tissue composed of lignified, thickened cell walls and fiber cells with slit-like pits. It is one of the main components of xylem. In the textile and apparel industry, wood fiber refers to viscose fiber converted from wood pulp through a production process — a type of cellulose fiber. The manufacturing process involves crushing wood into pulp through high-temperature steaming, removing sugars and lipids, and finally extracting plant cellulose and reshaping its cellulose molecules to obtain the textile raw material.

Wood fiber has nearly the same applications as bamboo fiber and is already widely used in the 3C electronic packaging sector.
